Ceramics at the Mill

Wow its almost a year since I last wrote a post I am being very tardy I do apologise. 

We do have a facebook page which is dedicated to Northern Potters-West region with our meeting and events on too.

But I am here to update the pages with events for the National Craft and Design Month so if you are a potter and would like to join us (you don't have to be a member) in a stand at Higherford Mill on the Friday 10th May to 12th in showing your work just email me at info@juliemiles.co.uk and I will send you a short application form. We are looking for up to 10 potters to attend sell, maybe do talks and workshops we are open to ideas. We have a history of successful events here at the mill and last year we launched Dan Bridge onto the world and he is now well on his way to being a very successful potter winning his stand at this years Potfest in the Park. So please get in touch for further detail and we can have a fab time promoting each other, contemporary pots and further spreading the word of ceramics and clay to the world!

Cardiff reunion of graduates at Higherford Mill

Brand new work by Katy O'Neil will be on display at 

Higherford Mill Open Studios

Saturday 5th - Sunday 6th May 

11am - 5pm

along side the work of resident ceramic artist Julie Miles 

And work by the Burnley based ceramicist Daniel Bridge

A reunion of sorts as both Katy and Julie graduated from the MA and Daniel the BA(hons) from Cardiffs renouned Ceramics Dept. in the 1990s.

To find Higherford Mill please follow the brown tourist signs for Pendle Heritage Centre off the M65 junc 13, through the village and up towards Blacko there is a long stay car park behind the Bridge pub.

Fired4u workshops

Fired 4 U the paint your own pottery studio are running workshops for adults and children in Walton-le-Dale near Preston.

Julie Miles will be exhibiting her work at her studio at Higherford Mill along side a few other invited potters in this light and airy attrium space.

Disabled access and parking at the front of the building all other parking follow the brown tourisum signs for the Pendle Heritage Centre long stay car park. 

 

Payments taken for julies work by credit/debit card, cash or cheques. 

There will be refreshments available or bob down to the  Heritage Centre and browse the book shop museum and cafe.
